About this campaign
Young People Connect is a network of youth with an interest in mental health. YPC gatherings provide social support for youth 16-30. We emphasize leadership and peer support. Last November, we partnered with our local NAMI chapter, NAMI Central Oregon, to form a social support group. We have dinner, talk, play games, share, and encourage one another. We share information about mental health resources in the community and discuss ways to fight self-stigma and stigma and lack of awareness around mental health needs in our community. Our hope is to raise money so that we can engage in outings, community projects, and meet on a more regular basis.
