Young Journey Youth Programs

Young Journey started in the New York City Metro area in 2000 and has directly served over 6,000 young people and countless numbers indirectly through live events, media and television projects. The organization became 501c3 in 2005 and expanded into the Central Texas area in 2014. The organization serves pre-k to young adults. Our primary target group is boys and girls who are ages are 7 - 18.The organization provides customized performing and media arts programs. Discipline areas are dance, theater, music, creative writing and media production. Through project-based activities, participants create media products and events while learning life skills. Participants explore educational pathways to careers.

Each program offers hands on workshops that teach transferable skills that connect participants to school and life. The organization partners with groups allowing Young Journey World Leaders an opportunity to shadow individuals who are successful in various fields of study.

The multi-media projects will result in their own Young Journey TV show as an outreach tool to address common teen life issues such as prevention of school drop-outs, suicide, crime and teen pregnancy. The projects also address disparities in underserved communities in the areas of education and economic development.
