Yaks on Sleds

Yaks Give Back, a subsection of the Yaktopia Yaks Hockey Organization, supports designated charitable organizations and endeavors through awareness events and contributions. These events and contributions are centered on the ideals of good sportsmanship,friendly cometition, and teamwork.

On April 24, the Yaks will be coordinating a charity fundraising event benefiting Michigan Youth Sled Hockey Organization. This impressive group of families and volunteers coordinate a Sled Hockey team for children with varied physical disabilities including Spina Bifida and Cereal Palsy (among others). All contributions to
the MY Sled Hockey group help contine the once in a lifetime opportunity for these inspiring kids to go fast, be part of a team, learn sportsmanship and teamwork, and - most importantly - have some fun.

Our 6th Annual Yaks Give Back event will feature 2 adult league hockey games, a special hockey game between the Yellow Jackets (the children’s sled hockey team) and a lottery of Yaks adlt leagu players, a ilent auction/raffle, chuck-a-puck and much more. All events are by suggested donation and a fundraising goal of $7,000 has been set for the event.
