About this campaign

Does your kid support full funding of basic education, but nothing in his/her wardrobe proves it? We've got the evidence. WPD's much-anticipated "I am your paramount duty" t-shirts are ready to order. Help your child raise awareness in class or during play, while looking retro-cool as ever! T-shirts are tagless, comfortable and your child will show the world that he/she supports public education in Washington. Be prepared for the January 16, 2017 rally and into the future by ordering a t-shirt now, order for others and bring a few to the rally, or just spread the word! Each t-shirt we sell will support WPD's work to push for full-funding. These t-shirts are designed for kids, but adult t-shirts are coming soon. Thanks for supporting WPD! Let's do this together.

Washington’s Paramount Duty is a non-partisan, grassroots group of parents and allies working to compel the state to amply fund basic education and swiftly fulfill its paramount duty. We envision a future where every child has equitable access to an amply funded basic education.Because Washington hasn’t met its constitutional duty to fully fund basic education, school districts and parents have worked to fill the financial shortfall through local levies and PTA fundraisers. Poorer areas are not able to fill the state’s shortfall, leading to further educational inequities. An amply funded, high-quality education can help each child build a better life and contribute to society. We believe that together, we can fill the education funding gap. I'm a parent and teacher. The plummet to the bottom in the sphere of educations is what's behind the rise of Trumpism.
