I KISSED A DOG - Help Rescue dogs get dental care - boycott bad breath!

We've helped many dogs with horrendous teeth with WOFAR. Neglected dental care results in bacteria build up in a dogs mouth. Continual presence of bacteria and their associated toxins have a daily impact on the dog's health and can lead to many things including; gingivitis (inflammation of the gums), Periodontitus (disease of the oral cavity that attacks the gum and bone and delicate tissues around the teeth), pyorrhea ( inflammation of the gums and tooth sockets, often leading to loosening of the teeth and accompanied by pus), plaque and tartar. The toxins from periodontal disease are absorbed into the dog's blood stream. As the kidneys, liver, and brain filter the blood, small infections occur causing permanent and at times fatal organ damage impact on the dog’s health. At Wings of Freedom Animal Rescue we feel dental care is a very important part of taking care of our rescue dogs overall health. Most of our dogs have been through bad times in the past. We want to give them the best outlook on their future with both their placement in a wonderful forever home and their health. And think about it. If we think their breath smells horrible....imagine how that tastes to them. They deserve to be healthy in every way. And no one wants a kiss from a dog with horrible breath. :-(
