About this campaign

Please visit baskingridgeoaktree.org for more information related to the tree's history created by the Historical Society of the Somerset Hills.

A design contest was held at William Annin Middle School and a sixth grade student's design was ultimately selected by the Oak Tree Task Force. This unique, hand drawn design created by Hannah Shen did an excellent job of capturing the spirit of the tree.

Having spent part of my growing up years in Basking Ridge, I have many memories of the great old oak. It is truly sad to see this iconic symbol pass into history.
