About this campaign
We are Kristine and Ben Thompson, a mother and son team, and our project is called "We Climb for Kids." In early 2015, we plan to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro to try to make a difference...one step at a time. Our climb will support Golisano Children's Hospital in Rochester, N.Y., and an education fund for the twin daughters of a dedicated porter from Tanzania who will climb with us.

I love everyhting about this campaign. The mother-son aspect, the philanthropy for sick kids in the US and local Tanzanian families, and the goal of climbing Kilimanjaro. I hiked it in 1998. It will be an amazing experience, made all the better through their fundraising.
