USNA MARINE CORPS MOMS 2015

It is nothing short of spectacular, watching your son or daughter graduate from the Naval Academy and be commissioned as a Navy or Marine Corpsofficer. Knowing how much they havealready accomplished during theirfour years by the bay, and anticipating where the future will lead them, creates a sense ofpride and gratitude I find difficult to adequately express. They will always be deserving of our prayers and support.

On the other hand.....we are the moms, and we helped get them there, right? So, we now and always will outrank them! During Commissioning Week a few years ago, my Marine Corps husband, Army brother, andNavy Ensign were discussing plans for the day as I listened from the other room. As they were trying to come to a consensus as to what we would do, a thought came to mind. I casually joined the conversation and thenboldly announced that I would determine the agenda. I outrank them all. I'm the MOM! Laughter is very good for the soul. When they finally stopped laughing, we headed out with our Ensign in the lead. After all, it really was all about her!
