End shark finning fundraiser

Shark finning is the process of catching sharks and removing their fins while returning the live bodyto the ocean.Shark finning is a major threat to shark populations. Their numbers are down roughly 90%. Sharks predate the dinosaurs andare an important part of the oceans' ecosystems. Roughly 10,000 sharks are killed an HOUR. Their fins are used to make shark fin soup, an expensive Chinese dish. The soup can cost as much as $400 a bowl. Due to pollution, shark meat contains over 40 times the safe level of mercury for human consumption. Shark finning is not only killing the sharks but it also has negative health affects on humans. The Sea Shepard Crew is a team who travels the world to put and end to shark finning, whaling and other atrocities against marine life. Help us raise money to support their cause.
