Thrill The World NYC Dance Parade 2015

About Us:

The New York City chapter also known as TTWNYC is a team of fun-loving people from all walks of life. TTWNYC’s mission strives to encourage service-giving through the art of music and dance. All members of TTWNYC are people who donate their own time, effort, and money to charitable causes. We look forward to using these universal commonalities to encourage individuals of all ages to engage in creative service projects.

Since 2009, we have successfully raised awareness and support for various charitable organizations such as VH1 Save The Music, UNICEF, Boomer Esiason Foundation, Eve Ensler's V-Day Campaign/One Billion Rising, to name a few. We also annually collect for our favorite charity The Pajama Program where we collect new pajamas and new children's books for kids in need.

Now this year we areraising awareness for The Lupus Foundation by collecting money at each ofour Dance Paraderehearsals. The team calledAnother Part of Mewill walk onMay 2nd (http://lupus.donorpages.com/NewYorkWalk2015/AnotherPartofMe)led by one ofour dance paradechoreographers Scott Jurkowski who donated his kidney to another MJFamily member namedRochelle in 2012.


So, how much do we need and how can you support Thrill The World NYC and our mission?

We need close to about $1600.00 to support our participation in the Dance Parade and anyone who buys a shirt can also walk with us on May 16th!

The approximate breakdown of the costs are as follows:
-DJ/Speaker System ($500)
-Dance Parade Registration ($75)
-Generator Equipment ($75+ including gas)
-Truck Rental ($200+ including gas to and from Queens)
-Dance rehearsal space ($450for 10 classes which are 60 minutes each)
-Water Bottles for all ofour dancers ($40)
-Marketing (website, T-shirts,fliers, etc) ($320+)

Any extra funds collectedcan be used towards our big October event too!

What do you get in exchange for helping us?

An amazing official THRILL THE WORLD NYC limited edition Dance Paradet-shirt and the opportunity to walk withus on May 16th. Thrill The World NYC's Impact

This organization is not just about the dance or about Michael Jackson. This is about building a community of amazing artists and volunteers who every year come together to show support to their local communities. Thrill The World NYC isn't just an annual event, we have grown to sharing our love of dance all year round. We have partnered with numerous companies, radio stations, and corporate events to continue to raise awareness as well asvolunteered our time to read with the Pajama Program kids and teach the Thriller dance for Wellness Week at various schools. We want to be able to continue this work and appreciate any assistance you can give.

Thrill The World NYChas performed all over New York City being featured in movies, parades (We led the 7th Annual Dance Parade), and TV shows (NBC's "Today Show", Univision's "Despierta America", WHTV's "What's Happening NYC?"), online websites and magazines (Zombie magazine by Beckett Entertainment, Examiner, Time Out New York, Crowd Funding Guide, Humans of New York, Simple Magazine) and along the way we have contributed to various schools and community centers.
