I'm a survivor who knows how important it is to stand with survivors and raise awareness.
Sexual abuse of a Child or Adult is NOT acceptable for any reason.... This is just like murder, because no matter what you think, The abuser has killed a humans normal mental life, and altered the physical well being of the victim....
I was sexually assaulted for years as a child by a close relative. Kept it a secret until I was 18, and pregnant with my first child. A little girl. I was going to protect her, no matter who the truth hurt. I struggle with my past, every day.
NO CHILD SHOULD EVER BE SEXUALLY ABUSED OR HURT - especially by their parents!
Because I was abused as a child and had nobody to help me navigate the pain. I am just now learning how to heal. I don't want other children to have the same experience I did.
