The Tuininga Family Adoption Fundraiser

The Tuiningas are missionaries with the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Mbale, Uganda. Eric serves as a pastor and spends the majority of his time training village pastors at Knox Theological College. He also enjoys beating the kids in Settlers of Catan or Seven Wonders. Dianna homeschools their nine children and spends the rest of her time ministering to local children and moms, keeping the kittens safe from the four year old, dealing with daily power outages and taking a few naps here and there. Timothy, Denise, Katelyn, Matthew, Rebecca, Jimmy, William, Benaiah and Talitha love playing football (American soccer), playing Legos, going swimming year round, riding bodas (motocycle taxis) and care packages from America.

The Tuininga Family first met Denise when she started coming to their church in Mbale, Uganda where they reside as missionaries. Denise was a full orphan living with her wonderful grandmother. After a fight with diabetes, Denises' grandmother passed away and having no relatives to take her in, Denise had no place to call home. She came to live with the Tuiningas in April, 2015 as a foster child. The Tuiningas are now in the process of adopting her. As there are very few grant programs established to help people living oversees and conducting a private adoption, they are hopeful that this fundraiser will give them the rest of the money needed to match Denise's legal status to what is already reality in their hearts: a full member of the Tuininga Family.
