Mamie's Mission
Mamie’s Poppy Plates is a donation supported non-profit whose mission is to providetangible mementos to families who suffer stillbirth or infant death. Our keepsake plates, given to affected families at no charge, are customizedwith the baby’s footprints, name and birth information.Mamie’s Poppy Plates exist not to fill the impossible void of loss but toserve as a timeless reminder of their baby’s briefyet profound life.

Third Annual Race to Remember
The third annual Race to Remember will take place at Dickey Stephens Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas, on June 14, 2014,which is Mamie’s birthday weekend and the fourth anniversary of Mamie’s Poppy Plates. All proceeds from the race will benefit Arkansasfamilies who experience infant loss. Families who lose children rarely, if ever, get at opportunity to publicly recognize their baby. race to remember gives them a chance to join together for a special occasion in memory of that special child. At the first race, organizers anticipated about 300 registrants, but were overjoyed to have 2,000 people in attendance from Arkansas and surrounding states. the $45,000 raised helped Mamie's Poppy Plates expand by serving families in other states, purchase their own kiln, hire dedicated painters, and ship all plates directly to families. Given last years' enormous response, they expect to have an even larger turnout this year. As we move into 2014, they hope that, with your help, the event will continue to grow so that we can serve even more families across the state and the country.
