We are raising money for our daughter Makenzie, She has immune deficiency. When she was a month old, she became very sick, we were admitted to icu and she was put on o2 because she had RSV and pneumonia. A week later we were discharged and that was the beginning of hospital trips and stays. Every month she would get sick and end up in hospital need 02 and antibiotics. they stays would last a week. This went one for months after months and her Pediatrician kept telling us its normal colds. She had her adenoids out along with tubes put in her ears because of recurrent Ear infections. Mackenzie was seeing a specialist for allergist for milk and soy allergy, also GI for hital hernia ,severe gerd also Pulmonary for recurrent pneumonia and bronchitis. It was not until her allergist ran blood work and we got the results that MacKenzie had primary immune deficiency her body did not make the antibodies need to fight off infections in the lungs ears and nose. We tried Antibiotics for a year which did not help we were still in the hospital every month. Now we are doing home Infusions of antibodies weekly , which has improved her health we dont see a hospital like we did before she started them. If Mackenzie miss a treatment she gets sick.
