About this campaign

In 1988, my mother was diagnosed with MS. Watching my mother deal with this debilitating disease is the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Watching her attend countless doctor's appointments, have several procedures, take medication after medication, slowly loose her ability to be independent are all things that make me feel helpless to make things better for her. I finally found something I can do

You can help raise money to fund research so that we can soon find a cure for this monster of a disease by purchasing a T-shirt and/or by signing up to participate inWalk MS 2015 on May 2, 2015 at Symphony Park - SouthPark Mall with team Lynn-Wood in honor of my mother, Denise Wood and family friend Sheri Lynn Brawley. About MS Multiple sclerosis, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system, interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million worldwide.
