Team Houli

On The Matthew W. Houlihan Foundation was established in May 2001, following the sudden and unexpected death of Matt Houlihan. Matt, or Houli, as he was called, died in his sleep from an arrhythmia just one month shy of his 20th birthday. Matt was an artist and athlete. At the time of his death, Matt was a sophomore at Hamilton College where he was the stroke on the crew team's varsity eight. The Foundation's mission is to preserve Houli's memory through various charitable endeavors that reflect the vivacious and generous spirit of a young man who viewed the world through loving eyes and a kind soul. Since it's inception in 2001, the foundation has awarded more than $300,000.00 in annual scholarships to students at Tabor Academy in Marion, Massachusetts and Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. The foundation has also been active in the area of heart health demonstrated by he donation f portable dfibrillors for the Town of Falmouth Beaches. TEAM HOULI 2015 consists ofMatt's brothers, sister-in-law, cousins, and classmates from high school and college and their friends.
