About this campaign
The Dempsey Challenge is a two day event in October that raises money for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Actor Patrick Dempsey started the Center in 2008 in honor of his mother Amanda Dempsey who suffered from ovarian cancer. The Center aims to help other families in the area who suffer from cancer as well as give back to Patrick Dempsey's hometown community of Lewiston, ME. Amanda Dempsey unfortunately lost her battle to ovarian cancer in March 2014 but both The Dempsey Challenge and The Dempsey Center continue to work in her memory to help others who suffer.
