TEAM TANGELA FIGHT AGAINST TRIPLE NEGATIVE BREAST CANCER

Hi everyone! My name is Tangela Ryan (for those of you who know me, no introduction needed). On February 6, 2015, I was diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma. This is one of the many types of breast cancer. It is triple negative due to it lacks any hormone receptors and does not need any to grow.
There are alot of women out there that is fighting this disease as well as other breast cancers.
I have always know that these women fight a tough fight, but never knew how hard they fought until I became affected.
On February 20, 2015, I had a lumpectomey removed. During that time, they also removed some lymph nodes. Upon the follow up with the surgeon, I found out that 13 of the 15 lymph nodes were positive for cancer. I don't know what you think, but that is a high number.
I will be going for scans and tests the week of March 13 to find out if the cancer spread to any other vital organs. I will begin a very strong dose of chemo on March 24, 2015. Just the PET scan alone is around $6000. The immune shot that I have to take after first chemo dose is around $5000.00. The brain MRI is around $2000. The chemo itself is about $26,000 to $50,000. This is just the tip of the ice burg.
So, you see, there is no way that even the wealthiest person can afford this treatment for this disease.
