Riding Death Valley for a Cure

I've been living with T1D for 31 years - Riding 100 miles is the least I can do! I was diagnosed with T1D at 23 months and have been living with it for 31 years!It's hard work, this T1D business, and it never ends - pumps, test strips, insulin, glucose tabs, glucometer etc. etc. etc. We call it all debris. Just the side effect of having T1D. I am excited to be participating in my 1st JDRF Ride to Cure Diabetes!100 miles?!? In Death Valley?!? Bring it on! I don't own a bike yet (we're working on it), or gear (turns out you need a lot of stuff to Ride properly), but I have a goal, and a mission, and excitement, and a great team to ride with (and a pushy wife)! With you help and support (and donations) we can turn type one into type none!I'm not one to ask for money. Definitely not for myself... But I'm not asking for money, and it's not for myself. I'm asking you to invest in a cure for the millions living with T1D. I'm asking you to show your support for an organization that really does what it says (80% of JDRF funds go directly to research or research based education). And mostly,I'm asking you to be excited for me that after 31 years with T1D, and thanks in large part to advancements in treatment funded by JDRF, I have no doubt that I CAN RIDE 100 MILES in DEATH VALLEY and raise funds for JDRF!
