About this campaign

Curtis is currently battling Osteosarcoma in his right humerus. Medical bills and expenses are growing as well as household expenses. The oncologist said the spots in his lungs increased through his first cycle.

In September 2014, Curtis thought he hurt his shoulder at work and went on workers comp. He had an MRI done in November that showed it might be Osteosarcoma. We meet with an orthopedic doctor in Minneapolis and he did a biopsy on the tumor. It turned out to be Osteosacoma, a bone cancer in his right humerus. Curtis started one cycle of chemo in December to the middle of January and the first part went didn't go very well. It has devastated our family and put him out of work since September. The money we had saved up is almost diminished with monthly household expenses and medical expenses. Our lives have changed drastically over the past 5 months and we are trying to stay above water. We recently found out that the spots in his lungs grew while he was on chemo, which shouldn't happened. He will be having surgery within the next two weeks to have his tumor removed and shoulder replaced. we have yet to know what chemo will be used after surgery. I think shirts are a great way to show our support for Curtis while he battles this nasty cancer. The oncologist said his chances went from a 6 out of 10, down to a 1 out of 10. Thats a 10% chance of survival. It has taken a long time to be ok enough to share with everyone besides immediate family. We are asking for any support through this very very very difficult time.
