Support The Herd at The Big Purple Barn!

About this campaign

The Big Purple Barn currently provides a permanent home to 17 horses, minis and ponies. Many of our residents are geriatric and require special care, and this year, we have had urgent care cases to work through with our vet. The past few months have seen an eye laceration requiring sutures, an infection that required care, and diagnosis of 2 additional conditions in residents to monitor and treat. We even have new members that are young and require a little more attention as they grow to ensure they are as healthy as they can be including our mini horse foal, Bodi and our darling girl Jewel who just turned 4. Our typical veterinary care costs have doubled this year and we need your support to pay off our existing veterinary bill and rebuild our care fund! Winter is coming and with that comes decreased program income, decreased donations and increases in our hay and feed expenditures. We need your help to make sure our herd is well cared for throughout the cold weather months!
