About this campaign

It’s the only cause of death in the top 10 in America that cannot be prevented, cured or slowed.
Almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s disease are women.
One in three seniors dies with Alzheimer’s or another dementia.
In the United States someone develops Alzheimer’s every 66 seconds.
There are more than 15.9 million caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias in the United States.
In 2016, Alzheimer's will cost the United States $236 billion. This number is expected to rise to over $1 trillion by 2050.
More than 5 million Americans are living with the disease.

Our team began as most do, in an effort to turn our sadness, fear, frustration, helplessness and lack of hope into just the opposite. We want to do our part to create hope, provide help, ease fear and frustrations of those afflicted and their families, and find a cure for Alzheimer's and other dementias so that other families will not have to know the pain of watching the slow, agonizing deterioration of the ones they love, and so that we can know a future without dementia.
We are a group of individuals who have mothers, fathers, grandparents, in-laws currently battling this disease as well as those who love us and have watched not only the slow decline of the afflicted family member but the toll that caring for an alheimers patient takes on the family members.
We have talked together, shared, hugged, cried and prayed together. We continue to support each other as well as other families as we continue this journey. This is not a hobby to us.
This is our reality. This is our passion. This is our future. It could be your future, too.
