I Stand with Johnny Rock

My name is Johnny Rock, I am a 50 year old survivor of just about every form of child abuse you can imagine. At this particular time I cannot speak about details regarding the tragic and horrific things that have happened to me and other members of my family over the past 45 years or so because I have a family member in jail at this very moment awaiting his day in court. I can tell you this, he has been accused of and charged with 1 count of Aggravated rape (victim under 13), 2 counts of Battery/Sexual, 2 counts of Incest/Aggravated and 1 count of Molestation of a Juvenile. This case can go on for sometime, who knows how long? I can not just sit back and wait for justice to be served when I know that somewhere this very moment a child is being abused by someone. I've decided to start a non profit organization with some very special people to help bring awareness and education to the masses. We can not be silent anymore. The effects from childhood abuse are disastrous and life lasting unless action is taken. Failed relationships, drug and alcohol abuse, depression, suicide, deviant sexual behavior including incest due to mirrored behavior. These are just some of the effects childhood abuse causes. These are many of the effects from the abuse that I went through as a child. In 1992 when my sister spoke up she did not get any support. No one listened to her. We've got to break the cycle, a cycle that sometimes has been going on for generations in some families. It's time to Speak Up and Speak Out against all forms of Child Abuse. Our desire is to promote Child Abuse Prevention and Awareness, as well as support for those who have been victimized and who have yet to speak up and out about it. We will also be an organization where Survivors of childhood abuse can share their stories and be heard. This will encourage others to Speak Up and Speak Out. Will YOU stand with me against all forms of child abuse? Our co-founder is Julie Ann Kilmer. Julie is a survivor of child sexual abuse. She has turned her pain into triumph by helping other survivors find their voice to speak up and speak out about their abuse. Julie knows all to well the damage that childhood abuse has on the lives of its victims as she has fought her way out of the darkness and shame of her Secrets. Julie is now an authorized facilitator for the Darkness to Light Org. .Darkness to Lights mission is to educate and bring more awareness to the taboo subject of Child Sexual Abuse. Julie is on a mission to spread this message by also sharing her personal story in hopes that others can be spared from from abuse. Julie knows that education and awareness is KEY to prevention.
