Don't Ignore Stage IV :: METAvivor Snowflake

We are like snowflakes – gentle, unique, and beautiful – but we all share one common fear. Nearly 13% of women and 1 in 1000 men will have breast cancer in our lifetimes. Each year, about 192,000 women and 1,900 men in the United States are diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. And each year, nearly 40,000 women and 440 men die from invasive breast cancer.

Don't ignore stage IV! The focus on awareness is not enough, and empty campaigns with pretty pink promises are the not the answer. Metastatic breast cancer is the cancer that kills, yet very little money goes to research. METAvivor relies solely on volunteers to run the organization, so that 100% of funding can go directly to grants for research.
