Shelby says "I am Somebody"

Shelby and I have watched her classmates in Special Education get overlooked or talked over for years and now that Shelby is out in the adult world, she's treated as if she's not worthy of being hired for "real" jobs by so many companies in our community. Thankfully, we have a network of friends who make up for the inconsiderate people she runs into and her sweet caring heart sees so few of the ugly looks strangers give her but I see it and as a mother, it makes my stomach turn to know there are still so many people who discriminate against special needs in our world.  After talking about it, Shelby said "yea mom, I am somebody" and that got me to thinking which led to more talks and Shelby designed this shirt. She wants to purchase items for her former classmates at Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Austin, TX with any funds made and we've set the shirt prices at the lowest that Booster will allow us to in hopes more people will purchase them and wear them to let the world know we are all somebody.
