About this campaign

SPC Shannon Chihuahua will be posthumously awarded the Silver Star on February 7, 2014. All proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward traveling costs for his mother, father, sister, and brothers. Additional funds will be used to offset the cost of travel for his Battle Buddies that need assistance to attend the ceremony.

Shirts will be delivered approximately 2 weeks after the close date.

Army Specialist Shannon Chihuahua was born and raised in Thomasville, GA. He joined the Army soon after graduating from Thomas County Central High School and was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty of Combat Medic. On November 12, 2010, in the Kunar province of Afghanistan, he was Killed In Action while caring for a wounded Soldier. Almost 3 1/2 years later, on February 7, 2014 he will be posthumously awarded the Silver Star at Fort Campbell, KY. This fund raiser will go to deter the cost to his family so that they can ALL be present at his award ceremony. Any additional funds that are raised, over and above what the Family needs, will go to offset the cost of travel for his Battle Buddies that need assistance to attend the ceremony.
