About this campaign

We are trying to organize a charity 5K run in late October and need to raise the funds to do so. This run would benefit mental health awareness and the negative stigma which surrounds it.

According to the NIMH, over 10 million people are directly affected by mental illnesses of all sorts, and less than have of these people receive proper treatment. A large part in failing to receive treatment is the negative stigma that surrounds mental health and mental illness. There are many organizations which have emerged in an attempt to address this issue, and we hope to assist them in their valiant mission.
This booster is showcasing t-shirts in order to raise funds for a potential 5K charity run, which would benefit one of the aforementioned charities. This t-shirt features the "Scare Away Stigma" theme that would be featured at the run but is also applicable throughout the year.
Donations are also generously accepted, either in addition to the purchase of a shirt or independently.
The money raised from this campaign will be donated to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, in the case that the charity run does not occur.

The stigma surrounding mental illness is traumatizing to both the community and society as a whole. The issue needs to be surfaced and dealt with.
