About this campaign

This year, our family is proud to walk for autism awareness in the Autism Speaks Walk in Nashville, TN! We are raising money for Autism Speaks to help provide grants and other programs to help assist autism families. All proceeds will go to Autism Speaks in our team's name!

Sawyer is a silly, playful little boy who loves cars, chips and salsa, and being tickled; he also happens to have autism.

Sawyer was diagnosed with autism at just 19 months old. Had we not known what signs to look for, we might have waited a lot longer to seek help, which could have been disastrous. Sawyer began therapy at 17 months old, and we believe that it is because he started therapy so young that he's made the progress he has.

We started Sawyer's Soldiers in February of 2015 as a way to raise money for organizations that study and treat autism and foster awareness and acceptance of autism and other special needs. Now, we're making it our mission to help spread autism awareness and acceptance and help educate people on what autism is, and how to look for signs of autism in their own children and loved ones.
