I am a lifelong equestrian, horse-owner, and undergraduate competitor in eastern Long Island horse shows. I support an industry that takes excellent care of them. NYC horses life great lives in the park & stables.
I want to keep the tradition of the horse and carriage in NYC along with fond memories of taking this lovely ride in Central Park right across the street from the iconic Plaza Hotel. Also I don't want to see hundreds of people lose their jobs.
I love horses and want to see them happy and working. It would be crime to allow politics and greed to interfere with a wonderful tradition.
The attack against my carriage driving friends and their horses has already, and will extend to, every other horse discipline as well as all forms of animal agriculture.

Rode in carriages twice and loved it. Shouldn't eliminate carriages to turn over stable real estate to developers. Not safe? Ban bad drivers!
The horses are loved and love their jobs.
