Help Save Daisy!

Greetings friends, many of you may not know us but we live on a little farm on the Cape where we take care of rescued animals...horses, dogs and chickens. We offer many programs for homeschool kids to experience our animals and our lifestyle. This pony, Daisy, was rescued almost 2 years ago directly off a feedlot ( she was about to be slaughtered). That initial rescue and her care were fairly expensive because she was very sick for a long time. She used to have a beautiful blue eye. That eye turned yellow and she lost her vision 6 months after she arrived. She was still a wonderful pony to all the children, many of them rode her. This past July she went blind in her other eye. It has been very frightening for her. For her safety we have had to move her out of the herd and into a smaller, safer paddock. We have again spent almost $2,000.00 on vet care trying to treat her eye and control her pain. In a couple days the once sparkling blue eye will has beenremoved. As I am sure you can imagine this was costly. One thing is for sure, we make a vow to all the animals here that they will have a safe and loving home to live out their lives in. Daisy is a wonderful friend to all children and she just wants to be loved and played with. We have to build her a special barn before winter to keep her safe..
