The Mid-Atlantic Chinese Shar-Pei Rescue Operation, Inc. (MACSPRO) is a privately funded 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and adoption of purebred Chinese Shar-Pei. MACSPRO relies on donations and fund raising activities in order to raise income to be able to help save these wonderful Shar-Pei who need homes, through no fault of their own. Your entire donation is used for the benefit of the dogs and may be tax deductible. In addition to donations, we are continuously in need of committed volunteers who can help foster, transport and socialize with our dogs until they are able to be matched with their forever home. Our purpose is to find as many quality homes for abused, neglected, and abandoned Shar-Pei, where they can become a member of the household. We are a non-profit organization, and have placed over 1,000 Shar-Pei since 1987. We only adopt our dogs to approved homes. We have adopted dogs throughout the east coast. The applicant must personally appear at our location. We work closely with other rescue groups and are willing to help rescue, place, or search for Shar-Pei in other localities.
