Savannah's CP-Stem Cell Research

When Our sweet daughter Savannah was two she became very sick and was stricken with a blood clot in her brain. The clot had caused severe brain damage, and caused various parts of her body to succumb to muscle damage and even muscle death in some areas of her body. This caused her to be diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Cerebral Palsy is a condition that is caused by damage to the motor control centers of the developing brain and can occur during pregnancy, during childbirth, or after birth up to about age three. There is a new study that is researching the effects of ones stem cells and the its regenerative abilities. They will go in and harvest her bone marrow and remove her stem cells from the marrow. It will then be reinserted into Savannah with the hopes to improve and regenerate the cells that have been damaged from her disorder. She is on the list and when her turn is up we have to travel from Chicago to Houston to participate in the study. This fund will help pay for the medical expenses needed to participate in the study.
