Sarah Penberthy's Army

Just before Christmas 2014, Sarah Penberthy was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Lobular Carcinoma with lymphvascular invasion.  After a Bilateral Mastectomy, Axillary lymphnode dysection and the beginning of chemo therapy, Sarah's fight has just begun.  After the completion of chemo, Sarah will undergo 6 weeks of Radiation Treatments with a total of 33 treatments, and then a complete Hysterectomy to ensure her that this beast will be slain and never return.  Sarah has taken on this journey with an amazing strength and grace.  She, her husband Tony, and their two girls, Alex and Mak, have the amazing support of their family and friends, but as we know this is a battle that needs a strong Army!!  Cancer not only takes a physical and emotional toll on the patient, but effects to the entire family, and all those around them.  As the family struggles to understand why they have been chosen for this journey, their strong faith and determination to win this fight has made them all extraordinary role models. In order to fight, Sarah and her family have had to set aside their lives as they know it and direct their strength and energy in winning this war.  Sarah's dance family at Dynamic Edge Dance Center where she has been Assistant Director and has been teaching and sharing her love for dance with hundreds of children for over 15 years, is ready to fight right along her side.  You too, can join the DEDC Army and help us win this war against Breast Cancer.  DEDC Army T-Shirts (designed by Dance Dad Joe Anderson) is one easy way to show your support, and to help Sarah and her family offset the financial strain that fighting this war can put on a family.   Show your support, buy a T-Shirt, wear it proud, join the DEDC Army and be one of Sarah's Soldiers!!
