About this campaign

Money from the t-shirt sales will go to assist Sami and his family with basic survival costs, to include food and travel.  It is our ultimate goal to get Sami and his family to a safe environment here in the United States where him and his family can thrive and build a life.  Your help is greatly appreciated.

11938054_10203565574858788_278694353_njpgSami K, an Afghani citizen, served our country and our troops for 3 years. While 1/6 was deployed to Afghanistan in 2011-2012, Sami served as an interpreter for our Marines to include my husband Sgt. Fleming. Due to his language skills and service to our Marines, he directly helped ensure troop safety and mission success. As a result of this, the Taliban placed a price on the heads of his wife, 10 month old daughter, and himself causing them to flee the country.

They fled to Turkey where they lived in squalor and where Sami worked for 18 hours a day at the equivalent pay rate of $2/day. The Turkish government could no longer support the refugee burden so he and his family were forced to flee to Greece where he is now for a short period of time.

It is in Sami's best interest, and ours, that we assist him in his endeavor to bring his family to live in the safe harbors of the United States. Sami has honorably served our country and in doing so has placed himself and his family into jeopardy
