About this campaign
In June 2015 I will attempt to be the first person to ever walk around the 116 miles of California's Salton Sea shoreline. To make it more challenging I will be doing it summer when temperatures can reach 120°F!
I'm a 48 year old guy that just a few years ago spent most of my time laying on the couch. In spring of 2014 I challenged myself to GET OFF THE COUCH and go on an adventure. My challenge? Being the first person to ever walk around the 116 miles of Salton Sea's shoreline and do it in summer when it can get as hot as 120°F! I gave myself one year to prepare for this historic walk and it's been an incredible journey!
My walk starts on June 9, 2015 and is scheduled to end on June 14, 2015 at the North Shore Yacht club.

Because I love the Salton Sea.
I've spent a lot of time at the Salton Sea and seen the dramatic decline of it over the past 12 years. Good luck on your journey. This is a great cause that will hopefully bring more attention to this beautiful body of water.

I grew up with the Salton Sea as my back yard. Wonderful memories.
Good luck! After years of living in LA, I never knew the history of the Salton Sea until a couple years ago. Now that I do, I want to support any effort to save it.
My grandparents still have land there. My cousins and I grew up skiing, wake boarding and 'floating' in the Satlon Sea. It's my childhood and I hope it will be the same for my kids some day.
