In January of this year, I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with Brocnchitis. After taking several rounds of antibiotics, I still wasn't better, so my doctor sent me for a chest x-ray... My first CT, mamogram, ultrasound, and finally biopsies quickly followed. When my doctor called and told me I had Lymphoma, I guess I didn't really believe it. I try and do everything right...eat right, exercise... I was in denial, but on February 1st, I couldn't breath, and my husband made me go to the emergency. I am so grateful that he did. They admitted me for 6 days and in those 6 days ran every test possible. I had surgeries and scans and biopsies... and 2 weeks later I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and began the first of 6, 8hr chemo treatments. I am tolerating the treatments well, am still working, and am more than positive that this treatment is a cure! I am grateful to still be able to work, but the medical responsibility of something like this is a lot. My friend Debbie, helped me design this shirt to help raise money to put towards my treatment.
