The animals are the real stars, and Hemker Park & Zoo gives visitors the chance to experience and learn about more than 50 fun and fascinating mammal, reptile, and bird species from around the world. New exhibits are being added regularly!
Hemker Park & Zoo strives to highlight and enhance species and environment conservation. We help promote conservation of endangered and exotic wildlife. Popular attractions include Marcello our Giraffe, penguins, zebras, camels, monkeys, lemurs, ostriches, kangaroos, giant tortoises, the famous Hemker Budgies, and our rare New Guinea Singing Dogs, Gus and Lucy.
Did you know Rhinos have walked the Earth for more than 50 million years? Today, all but one rhino species face extinction. Despite their tough-looking appearance, rhinos live in a delicate balance with their ecosystems and with people.Hemker Park & Zoo is joining team Rhino. We will be welcoming rhinos in 2018. All proceeds will go towards rhino conservation at Hemker Park & Zoo.
