About this campaign

As Miss Metro KC 2016 I want to raise PTSD awareness for those suffering in silence. Families and individuals need to be educated on the signs and symptoms of PTSD and where to turn for help. When it comes to treating obvious, visible, wounds, we as a society do a pretty good job, but when it comes to treating invisible wounds, such as PTSD, there is often a stigma surrounding it. After watching my Dad over come PTSD and the challenges he faced and we as a family; it is my goal to bring this issue to light, that I might in someway help those who need it.
