Queen City Pipe Band Fundraiser

Four former members of Colorado Skye Pipes & Drums got together to compete in a quartet bagpiping competition in 2011 at Scruffy Murphy’s Irish Pub in Denver. So many people were excited and motivated from that performance, that it led to the creation of the Queen City Pipe Band.

Queen City Pipe Band is led by Pipe Major Jamie Cuthill and Drum Sergeant Darren Marshall. The band is based in Denver, Colorado. which is known historically as the Queen City of the Plains, so naming the band Queen City felt very appropriate. Our membership spans all across the front range of the Colorado Rockies including Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, Colorado Springs, Evergreen, and Albuquerque, NM. Queen City Pipe Band is the first ever Colorado Grade 2 pipe band to come out of Colorado, and we are all very proud to be representing our city, state, and region in competition.
