About this campaign
Hunter Syndrome is a rare genetic disease affecting only boys. In this disease, boys lack a crucial enzyme that allows our cells to function. Boys with the severe form of the disease typically die in the second decade of life. Some characteristics of the disease include: large head, large tonsils, hearing loss, breathing issues, heart disease, enlarged livers and spleens, short stature, stiff joints, increased pressure in the brain and progressive cognitive impairment.
