4 years is a long time. It can be the difference between a freshman and a senior in high school. It's enough time for some people to get a university degree. Some kids can even talk back at age 4! In our 4 years we have seen a lot of things. We have talked to people in high school who were getting bullied. Talked people through their exam weeks in college. Talked to moms who were under appreciated and over worked. We talked to veterans who suffered deeply from what they had seen. We talked to people who needed someone to believe in them. 4 years is a long time, there were a lot of people who needed hope. We were able to see a difference made in people's lives and of course we have seen a huge difference in our own lives. With every new volunteer we see the circle of global support grow and the stigma around mental health support, shrink. 4 years is a long time, but who knew IMAlive would grow this much in the first years? We want the next 4 years to be just as beneficial, impactful and life changing for us and for the people reaching for hope. IMAlive is a live online network that uses instant messaging to respond to people in crisis. People need a safe place to go during moments of crisis and intense emotional pain.
