Play is Powerful

Our current fence is in disrepair and will become unsafe if it gets much worse.  In addition, the gates are not as secure as they could be against determined little escape artists! We have great equipment on our playground to encourage physical play, but we have been talking for some time about extending that to make an outdoor play space that is rich with opportunities for science, math and art play.  Several teachers will be donating time and supplies to make this happen, but the fence is beyond our reach if we go it alone.  Please consider purchasing a t-shirt to help us make it happen.  With your support we can raise enough for a healthy down payment on a new fence!

We are passionate about the benefit this will bring, not only to our students, but to the children of church members, visitors, and to the children who live in the apartments surrounding the church.  Many of our neighborhood children are from single or no car families, with no access to a playground other than the one at Bethel.  We’d like to create an environment that is welcoming, and allows them a safe and rich learning space.
