About this campaign

Brandi Dickey's dream was to educate people about Melanoma. It is now our mission to keep her legacy and dream alive!

Brandi Dickey was born June 6, 1981, in Fort Worth, and graduated from Azle High School in 1999. Brandi was diagnosed with Nodular Melanoma, an extremely aggressive type of skin cancer in March 2010. She had undergone multiple surgeries and radiation treatments. Brandi had a strong faith in God and loved the outdoors. Brandi loved children and although she never had any of her own, she was a wonderful aunt to her two nieces and nephew. She was the strongest, most beautiful, sincere and courageous person anyone could ever hope to meet. She had a pure heart of gold, touching anyone's life she came into contact with. Her mission was to educate people about Melanoma, the danger of tanning beds and to start a foundation to build shades for playgrounds to protect children from the dangers of the sun. Brandi Diane Dickey, 33, earned her angel wings on Friday, October 3, 2014, after a strong, 5 year fight with nodular melanoma cancer. Her family's mission is to keep her legacy alive, to keep informing people about Melanoma and to build playground shades to keep chldren sae from the danges of the sun LOVE AND PRTECT THE SKI YOU'RE IN!<r>
