5th Annual PKU Global Family Retreat Sponsorship Program

PKU Global was started 5 years ago with the vision to help unite & educate PKU family & friends, as well as, the entire population about PKU.  Every year PKU Global provides a retreat for PKU family & friends from all over the globe to unite and come together as a family for a whole weekend of events and festivities. Part of the planning process to put together this weekend of events PKU Global's goal is to make this weekend as inexpensive to the attendees as possible as medical expenses alone for PKU families can run in the thousands every month making it nearly IMPOSSIBLE for many PKU patients to ever meet another person like themselves by travel to similar events.  The funds raised in this booster campaign will go towards overhead expenses and if enough is raised a travel sponsorship program to help families get to Colorado (where this years events will take place)  Again, for many, this is mostly likely a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet others like them, get encouraged through support, get educated about new treatments, and just to feel normal. In the past we have had participants travel from as far as Australia and England.  This weekend is SO important to families with new PKU babies to connect with care providers and older PKU patients themselves to see that all will be just fine with their little one.
