About this campaign

We are $15,000 away from reaching our Carriage House Campaign goal. To date $25,000 has been raised and once fundraising is complete we will begin the final projects to improve the Carriage House at Perkins Center for the Arts, Moorestown.

Highlights for the planned renovations include:

· A dedicated seating/dressing area,

· A private restroom,

· Increased square footage, · Upgraded lighting,

· New specialized dance flooring · A larger sink for our art students

Support this campaign to provide significant renovations and repairs to the building that has been in continuous use as a dance and painting studio for over 36 years. The goal of the campaign is to provide funds to purchase a furnace (completed) and separate electrical system (completed), update the lighting and hardware, install a new hardwood dance floor, install and make repairs to windows, enlarge and re-design the restroom on the first floor, install a larger sink for cleaning art supplies, and improve physical accessibility. With the help of a historic preservation specialist, the dance floor will be enlarged and storage improved by safely removing a studio wall.

Perkins Center for the Arts will become the first school in Moorestown with a sprung floor from Harlequin Floors a company recognized as the world leader in advanced technology flooring for dance, the performing arts and display. The Perkins Center Carriage House flooring from Harlequin will be a floating floor system composed of sprung dance floor panels. Designed for safety and suitable for a range of dance disciplines, Liberty LatchLoc™ provides the ultimate floor, allowing performers to concentrate on their art without fear of falling or injury.

It’s been 36 years since the Carriage House has been renovated. Help us make the space be a highlight in Moorestown and a studio that will provide a comfortable and safe environment for all the students (youth and adult) who are part of “Locally Produced Arts” at Perkins Center for the Arts. Your donation to this campaign and the purchase of a t-shirt can help us make our plans a reality. Thank you for your support!
