Help Oso Volunteers

March 22nd, 2014 a devastating event changed the lives of many people in the town of Oso, WA and beyond.The tragic mudslide has not only taken lives, destroyed homes and changed the land of this town, it had also brought many communities locally, state wide and across the United States together. You don't have to be from Oso, WAto be touched by this, and you don't have to live in WA to help. Many of the cash donations made to the Red Cross, Untied Way and other large groups will help the victims. But many of the volunteers and ground crews not directly affected are using their own equipment and tools, paying for gas out of pocket and are going through clothing and other supplies during the search and recovery process.You're probably wondering why I am doing this? Well, I've been there, in those volunteer's shoes. I was a member of a local search & rescue team for 3+ years and spent 15yrs as a volunteer Firefighter. I breaks my heart that ANYONE has to go through this.
