The Optical podcast is revisiting the original issues of Cinefex magazine, who covered the making of the great films that we're covering from the early 1980s. In Season 2 — episodes 007 through 012 — we'll be covering even more great films. To keep bringing you the well-researched podcasts that you've been hearing in our first six episodes, we need to pay for research: DVDs and Blu-rays, finding out-of-print books written about the movies, digging up contact information for the people who worked on the films, sending them inexpensive microphone headsets so we can have clean-sounding interviews, and now, to transcribe the podcasts and interviews, to help make a better searchable resource for future researchers and listeners, and make the podcasts more accessible to deaf folks and the hard of hearing.
For the new website we're building, we need to pay for help in indexing Cinefex, and fleshing out information about the people, companies, movies, terms and techniques found in the pages of Cinefex.
