About this campaign

Oddley’s Angels began a mission in May 2013. and we would like to tell you our story.

Many of you know Sarah Fomby and Leslie Hall through animal rescue. Oddley was a pit bull in a local outdoor animal control facility. Oddley was never chosen to go to rescue and while in animal control became very ill. Unfortunately, pit bulls are a dime a dozen in Southeast Missouri. There were too many already in rescue, there was no place for him to go and no rescue would provide treatment for him. So, Sarah and Leslie reached out to friends and raised money to have him seen at a vet to diagnose his illness and begin treatment if needed.

Through generous friends, Oddley was taken to the vet and into Sarah’s home. It was known Oddley was positive with histoplasmosis, and he had lost a tremendous amount of weight while sitting and waiting on someone to save him. Everything that could have been done for him, was done. It was too late.

Oddley sadly crossed the Rainbow Bridge after knowing love and kindness of a human touch. Sarah and Leslie vowed to honor Oddley by leaving no animal behind to suffer like him simply because of his breed. Yes: there are way too many breeds needing rescue but NO animal should be refused care, based on breed.

We are Oddley’s Angels. We are not a licensed rescue nor are we a 501c3. We do the best we can for every animal we are asked to help. There is never a shortage of unwanted, unaltered, heartworm positive, malnourished and sick animals in this area.
Please help us continue assisting other animals while honoring our sweet Oddley by purchasing a shirt or making a small donation.

Thank you so very much!!   Leslie and Sarah
