The National Organization of Parents of Blind Children
(NOPBC) is a division of the National Federation of the Blind. Our programming focuses on educating parents on how to raise blind children to become successful, independent blind adults.
Our programming includes:
Holding informational seminars at our annual convention.
Providing free braille books through our braille book fair.
Introduction to cane use through our Cane Walk
Social and recreational opportunities for the children and parents alike.
Check out our "Keep Calm it's Just a Cane" hoodie too!

my daughter, Lora is a Braille reader!
My daughter's hope for success, self-confidence, and fulfillment would have been lost (or severely impaired) had we not found the National Federation of the Blind and its Parents' Division, the NOPBC. I will never be able to repay the debt I owe!
I am legally blind and buying this for my VI teacher as an end of the school year gift.
Support Braille literacy and POBC
Getting some teacher gift. Proud to support the National Organization of Parents of Blind Children
My 7 month old son is blind and I want to learn Braille so I can understand how he will experience reading.
My 2 year old son is legally blind, has only limited light perception in one eye
Without the guidance of the NOPBC and NFB it is unlikely that my VI children would be Braille literate.
