About this campaign
We need your help! Please help my sister and I raise funds to attend and aid the Nevus Outreach Conference of 2014, held in Dallas, Texas. The main goal of this fundraiser is not to attend the conference and aid the organization, but rather to spread awareness of this unique genetic condition!
As a person born and living with Giant Congenital Nevus and Neurocutaneous Melanocytosis, I hope to inspire people to learn of nevus. Congenital Nevus can come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the Nevus can be hidden very easily, while others can't be hidden. Nevus can take emotion tolls on people. I have personally experienced the psycho-social effects of living with this unique and extremely rare condition. Spreading the word of nevus can help others understand and recognize congenital nevus. This fundraiser is a great way to spread the word of nevus, not only does it reassure those with nevus that is okay to be different, but it also helps make nevus known.
